First of all, oh my goodness! Seriously, THIS is why I love my job, friends. When you feel like you’re ALWAYS saying time and time again how fricken awesome and amazing your clients are, you feel like folks start thinking you’re just a robot or you say that about every client, but the truth is, my clients truly ARE amazing! See, (I’m about to reveal a “secret”), just like my clients screen me to be sure I’m a good fit, I do the same. I am a down to earth, naturally kind person, that truly LOVES amazing folks, I love capturing in photographs what you can literally feel being there, with them. Which is their love and their excitement for one another. I want to capture all that sweet goodness, the rawness the pureness, in that moment, as is. I am truly passionate about my work. It means a great deal to me to photograph and work with people that are busting through the seems with love and passion about their life, their partner or whatever else! It’s beautiful, it’s real, it’s love. Ahhh!!! I’m so excited for this beautiful journey I’m fortunate and so honored to be on.
Veroniqe and Tom are literally everything I just described, they are both so kind hearted and so fun. The love I felt from these two literally made my day. I was having a horrible day leading up to the shoot. I wasn’t feeling my normal happy, creative, excited self. Dudes! Lemme tell you, when these two showed up, within the first 5 minutes I was definitely like “We got this” haha, it was so awesome. It’s so inspiring. I think that’s my favorite part of my job seeing, capturing and producing the love that already exists. We choose Lake Wheeler Park, in Raleigh. They love each other so much and it truly makes me feel amazing to have been able to document that.
I’m a big fan of capturing art, not just cutesy images. I want my images to stand out, I want them to be beautiful and full of life and creativity. I want them to be unique and personal. I love to try new things and in these two images above, I bent the rules. The above left image, the subjects are out of focus, a big “no-no”, I personally love the take away from it. I think it’s beautiful and I love it. The above right image, I used my prism, thanks to @SamHurd, who is an amazing photographer, btw!! I have been playing around with a little here and there. #Sorrynotsorry #prism #standout #beyou #real #love #art
